Whenever I’m riding and see cyclists on the side of the road messing with their bikes, I always ask them if they have everything under control. This is the first time someone’s actually flagged me down. Apparently the guy got a flat, replaced the tube and didn’t check the tire closely enough for debris and flatted again on the same piece of glass. Whoops. I’ve been there before, but always had teammates to mooch a tube off of and receive grief from. I was nice enough to give him my tube, leaving me with just a patch kit. Generosity wasn’t exactly returned since he didn’t even offer me a few bucks for my tube and trouble. Oh well, maybe the favor will be returned someday.
