United giving me money back?

Filed under: General — Jeff @ 6:58 pm

Thanks to the wealth of information on FlyerTalk, I was pointed to a feature on United’s website that apparently refunds you the airfare difference if the price drops after you purchase it. When looking at the “My Itineraries” section, select an itinerary, click on the “Change itinerary” button, then click the “More options” link at the bottom right, and then click the “You can also check the price of the itinerary” link at the bottom. It’ll tell you if there is a difference in price and offer up a travel voucher. Looks like it reissued my outbound leg using a T fare rather than a W fare. Hey, $36 is $36.
